Hi everyone,
I’m new (obviously) I had the band done in 2012 and removed 18 months later and I have to say it was the worst experience of my life!! I vomited all the time and and just couldn’t tolerate food. Going out socially was awful because no matter what I ate or how little I vomited
I am still very overweight at 132 kgs and have been seriously thinking about the sleeve but worried I’m in for more of the same!

I know a couple of people who have had it done and they look amazing!

Has anyone else had the band previously and had good results with the sleeve?

Also, I’m not sure how to pick a good surgeon, I am in Melbourne, does anyone have any suggestions?

I really want to do it, just very scared, but I also don’t want to die young!

Thanks for listening 😘

You could look for one in your local area, or go with who your Doctore reccomends.
Im not sure were your located.

I like mine, he's with Darebin Weight Loss Surgery.

But what I always say is go see a couple or go to a seminar or info session and if you feel comfortable with them, go for it.
I know a couple of girls who had the band removed, but they went straight to bpass.  I think because of the damage to there stomach possibly made it too risky to go to sleeve.
Maybe ring a couple of clinics near you to see if there having info sessions and put your name down for next one.  Doesn't matter if you go to a few, the more info you have the better.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks for getting back to me! I’m just outside Werribee, I am booked for an info session in Geelong at the end of Mary, so fingers crossed 🤞
