I just read your note and i also had the same op on the very same day. How are you going with it? I seem to be ok but every now and then whilst sitting or just after drinking or eating nourishing liquids i get this funny feeling and dont know if its reflux. its like air is trying to come out whilst the food is going down. I was at Mount hospital and even though it was a fantastic hospital i couldnt wait to go home and see my poochies lol lol. i spent the first two days really nauseous and i think that was due to the fact that i wasnt drinking enough as since i have been home i make it a point to drink enough fluid. i have noticed that ice cream which is what i was having at hospital seems to agrivate my stomach and shortly after i end up with diarheria(spelt incorrectly).
Apparently Dr Cohen found a hiatus hernia in my osephegus which he fixed and i dont know if that has anything to do with the funny little feelings. its weird to explain....there is no pain but i just dont know if anyone else out there has felt the same thing.
Here is a little about me prior to the op. The last time that I got weighed in his office i was 105 kg hich was the day before the op. Today i am 100 kgs. I know that it may sound silly but i just could not get enough food and dieting was very difficult. A lady at work was pushing close to 150kg and she had the same surgery about two years ago by Dr Cohen and wow. There was such a transformation from her not only physically but mentally. She did great.
I really look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care
Mirka
