| I have always wondered what it would feel like to be physically picked up, but that was never going to happen to me at my weight.................. Whelllllll, last night I was standing on a chair getting something down from my wardrobe and had my newish partner standing by on the ready to take what I was accessing. Once the task was completed I turned around to step down from the chair and there he was on the ready arms outstretched, picked me up off the chair and placed me gently on the floor. All I could think of was 'WOW how morantic, someone actually lifted me up'. Felt nice. B _________________

I'm starting to get people tell me "WOW don't you look good, can't wait to see you in a few months!"
Not that I don't want to see these people sooner but they are excited for me and my new body to come! _________________

| I've had the same issue with my skirt hem line. skirts that were once around my ankles (kindly taken in by mum) are now dragging on the floor. I guess a non scale victory for me actually is wearing skirts/dresses that are shorter in length ie am now comfortable showing my calf and omg have a few things just below my knee and omg one dress above my knees. Boyfriend says I have great legs and should show them off more, so am feeling more confident to oblige. _________________ Lynette

Ooopps, I've done this a few times lately. I actually fell down 1/2 a flight of stairs a couple of weeks ago... tripped up by my own pants. Very embarrassing, 3 different neighbours came out of their apartments to help me pick myself up.

| Lots of lovely NSVs everyone - fantastic! Today I bought a new pair of shoes - with high heels, no less (it's been about 20 years since I wore them!). And not only that, but where I was wearing a size 9 shoes, and had bought boots in a size 8 and congratulated myself, these shoes are only a size 7! Who would have thought that losing weight would make that much difference to shoe size? On that note, I've also noticed that my arms have become shorter - either that, or everyone's making clothes for orang-utans! Honestly, I have to fold up the ends of everything these days - does anyone else have this problem? Not that I'm complaining - it's a small enough thing. _________________ Sleeved 23/6/08 by Dr Michael Talbot in Sydney Heaviest weight 150.5kg Height 160cm (5'2") Current weight 78kg Bust From 148cm down to 101cm now - a total loss of 47cm Waist 144cm down to 100cm - total loss of 44cm Hips 150cm down to 104cm - total loss of 46cm Arms 47 cm down to 31cm - total loss of 16cm Legs 81 cm down to 52.5cm - total loss of 28.5cm

| Awesome things that have happened to me since my surgery: • Went on a plane and didn’t have to ask for a seatbelt extender! First time since I was a young teenager. • I don’t encroach on the person next to me on the train anymore • I walk... EVERYWHERE and everyday and it doesn’t hurt! Walking is actually quite relaxing, who would have thought? • Last week I went shopping in a regular clothes store (not Autograph, or City Chic, or My Size or anything else plus sized). I bought clothes off the rack. • I bought a bra that didn’t look like something my grandma would wear • I cook every single night. My partner and I haven’t had a takeout since... well since the surgery I think. • I also go out to social events nearly every night. I would have never ever dreamed of being this active. My partner tells me that he has to book appointments with me just to get me to sit still!
That’s all I have for now... If I think of more I will post. |

| Haven't posted on this thread for a while as my weight seems to have stabalised for the last 6+ months. However, have been getting comments recently such as 'your looking good have you lost more weight' (not that they were implying I didn't look good before. lol), which I politely say actually been the same for ages. However, maybe my weight shifting or Im toning etc and putting on muscle. So anyway, noticed that my size 18 jeans were a bit loose, so thought bugger won't fit into a 16 and 18 too big, but thought I would try some on anyway. Well, wasn't I pleasantly surprised to find that a regular size 16 (from Katies as opposed to Autograph) actually fit me. So bought two pairs, one pair with skinny legs (so I can fit my new knee high boots over the top). And yes that is the other one. Knee high 4 inch spike heel boots, well never thought I would ever fit a pair of those and isn't my BF thrilled. lol. So easily fit into size 16 jeans and skirts and size 14 tops (M? I think) (and the odd 12). Oh one more I almost forgot, funny I don't mind my hem being a bit shorter now as opposed to around my ankles. Bought a size 14 dress which is actually above my knees (to wear with the boots as well. lol) OMG, never thought I would ever show my calves let alone my knees in a skirt (BF also appreciates that). BF says I have great legs and should show them off more (like to keep the man happy as well as myself). _________________ Lynette

From Caz's walk to Lib's comfortable eating experience and all of these wonderful clothes fitting moments! These stories are making me so excited about what's to come!! I remember how good it feels to get into skinny jeans - can't wait to be there again! And to feel comfortable when sitting down (not like I have a tyre around my waist and a smaller one around my neck! I can't wait for those tyres to be gone! They're deflating slowly...!)

| It's surprising how you can keep on squeezing your butt in clothes until they nearly split at the seams...20 kilos gone & I'm now into size 16 pants and jeans (3 bags of clothes off to charity)... I'm loving the room that I have in my wardrobe ! _________________ Starting Weight 103.5kg (25/8/09) BMI 39.8 Current Weight 85.3kg (25/04/10) Target Weight 75kg _________________________________________________

| Yay for you Mapmar! Oh for the day that happens to me. I went to Byron for the weekend with DD. I had a right feeding frenzy B.O.(before opti; which I started today) and weighed somewhat heavier this AM to last week. lol. At the moment I've decided the berry bar is the most disgusting thing ever to cross my lips. If it were classed as real food it would rate in my 1% of non edibles. I think I'll be sticking to mainly the soups. Mm mm! |

Wizard! You clever thing! And in a few weeks you'll be hitching them up every second step and wondering whether you should have bought 14s to shrink into!

congratulations!! you should feel so proud of yourself!!! Now go out and wear that lovely top and jeans with pride!!!! _________________ FINALLY A WEIGHT HAS BEEN LIFTED OFF OF MY SHOULDERS!
