Doctor are so different in so many ways.My doc told me that I was not allowed to get pregnant within the first 12 months.That it can be fatal.....why woulb he exagerate so much?? I also know a girl who got pregnant a 7 months post op and she and the baby are fine.

Welcome and congrats!! Both on losing so much weight already and being pregnant as well. A double journey for you! How wonderful. A friend of mine did something similar. She now has a beautiful 3 month old daughter. I'm a bit old to do the pregnancy thing now - I have 2 grandchildren. They are plenty, thanks!! lol

Hi all, My name is Georgie, I am 35 years old and live in Adelaide. I had my sleeve done on 8th July 2009 with Micahel France at Ashford. I will be 6 months post op on the 8th and have lost 33kg which is exactly half way to my total desired loss of 66kg.

A couple of girls at another forum suggested I come here as I am 7 weeks pregnant and would love some company and advice from fellow sleevers who either are or have been pregnant post op. I had my gp and surgeons ok to go ahead and get pregnant - I have been on another forum where people seem to get very mad at peope who get pregnant this soon post op.

Anyway I look forward to having a look round here and meeting some other pregnant sleevers.
