Hi Jay, welcome to the forum. Have you received guidelines on food choices and quantities from your surgeon's dietician? What do they say? If not, ring your surgeon and ask for a referral to a dietician who is familiar with this type of surgery and its requirements. Good luck.

Hi Jay

I haven't been losing weight as fast as I thought I would - although I've lost nearly 19 kgs since February 23. I haven't been exercising - and wonder if it is because of my age - and you are older than me (didn't think that was possible).

Also your weight wasn't hugely high compared to some. I've settled down to losing about .5 kg per week. One of the good things you can do is to document what you are eating and ask people to give you some advice based on that - or look at people's diaries and see what they were having at the same stage as you.

Re the ticker, just click on anyone's ticker and then select "Create a new ticker" (I think). You then need to go to your profile (up the top of the site here) and copy the html code from the ticker site. Also you need to make sure you select "show signature" and BBCode and HTML should be on. Something like that anyway.

Good luck
Carolyn

Hi, everyone and good luck with your weight loss. I had my 'sleeve' done on 7.5.9 - six weeks ago and I have only lost 6 Kg and two of them was on the water diet in hospital . . But now my weight has gone static and I wonder why. I thought that if I am only eating a third of what I was, my weight would fall off but it isn't. So I now wonder if I am over eating???? I must be if I am not losing! I can't exersize because of torn tendons in my right shoulder - bursitis in my left and bone on bone arthritis in my right knee so I am a bit of a wreck at the mo'. I have my right knee replaced in July so I will be able to start walking soon after that and I think this is what is missing.
I don't know how to do those lovely 'charts' some of you have put into your writings - where they show BMI etc. How do you do them??
Hoping for some good replies.
Jay

My surgeon was George Kiroff in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. A great guy.
My weight was 104 Kg (not a lot I know compared to some but George did it because I am a diabetic and my knees were suffering).
