Question - What are you wearing? Are you comfortable wearing pants/shorts/pyjama bottoms or do they hurt/irritate your stomach?
I was looking at my pyjamas the other day (preparing to put/throw summer away and get winter out) and I started thinking what will I wear in hospital and shortly afterwards...
I'm wearing leggings and tshirts around the house (and in hospital as well).  I tried on a heaver pair of track pants yesterday, and while they didn't hurt the incisions, they felt very confining.  I was a bit bloated though so that may have been the reason.  I'll be returning to work in a few days - plan to wear lightweight / elastic waist pants for comfort.  It's my go to wear anyway.

I found it quite cold in hospital and was always looking for an extra layer or another blanket (I had 3!)  Bring summer and winter and see what works.

Keep your comfy jammies and any clothes you think you may need - you'll be replacing them all soon anyway :)

I hope so too Treen - but remember, I'm only a week and a half in...following the program strictly, but then it's hard to slip up on a liquid / puree diet :)  Let us know how your surgery goes - and we'll compare results in 6 months or so when it's really showing :)

Sounds like your having a good run.

Just a random tip...
With the water,  just remember to sip, sip, sip!
For some reason its much easier to drink through a straw at the start.
Also ad some cordial if it hurts to drink water.

Thanks greenfrog!  Not having trouble with water at this point, I've always sipped water all day long, so it's an easy habit to keep up :).  I am slightly worried about the calories I'm eating - yesterday I managed to get up to a whopping 375 calories... slowly increasing so I guess it's ok.

Offically at my first milestone - a double!
- 1 week after surgery, and

Wow! That's awesome! Well done!

Well done Sara!
So glad to hear you had a positive experience and little in the way of complications!
Also good that the nasty hiatus hernia has been repaired too....a double whammy!

Let me know how you go over the coming weeks, as I am due for my op mid April and it is great to hear how others sleevers are going!

Take care and have a wonderful weight loss journey ahead!

Hi all,

I just had my sleeve op on Friday - 4 days ago.  I feel pretty good so far but still not eating much.  Trying to up the food intake and keep the water up is a challenge!

Anyway, I know it's very early - not having any particular issues at the moment but I figure it will happen sooner or later - glad to have found a place to come to ask questions.

I also had a hiatus hernia repaired at the same time - Dr said that was actually more difficult than the sleeve - more complex than he thought.  SOOOOOO glad to have that resolved, I've been suffering for years, and so far haven't had reflux issues with the sleeve.  That may be due to lack of food though.

My big surprise - I didn't gain any weight with the surgery!  Read so many articles about people who gained weight from the pre-op weight.  Did a little happy dance about that one!
