HI Sparklybows,
Im doing well thankyou. Day 11 today. I have started back to my walking. Getting a couple of klms in now everyday. I have my follow up this Thursday and looking forward to mushy food. This liquid only diet is hard as I don't seem to have much energy late afternoon. I didn't post my 1st week weigh in.
Last Thursdays 1 week weigh was 100.6kg. Loss of 4.4 kg. Hopefully this weeks will be under 100.

WOW, where have the last 4 days gone. I got home yesterday and today feel a bit tired so resting up. I certainly didn't get much sleep in the hospital. Taking blood pressure and temp every two hours.

My surgeon: Dr Michael Devadas from Circle of Care Institute of weight control,  Norewest NSW.
Sleeved at Campbelltown Private Hospital.

Dr Michael is so caring and gentle. My wounds look amazing and surprisingly don't hurt at all. He followed up on day 1 of my surgery and said my surgery was easy as I followed all the pre-op rules. Liver was normal down from a mild fatty liver. He then visited again on day 3 yesterday morning with results of CT scan showing no leaks and gave the fab news as I could go home.
Something he said has really stuck in my mind and made me feel comfortable with him. he said." This is a big surgery and I treat all my patients like family. I would never rush a family member out of hospital in 1 or 2 days so I will never rush a patient out."

So im sitting here having a soup for lunch and its taking a really long time to drink. :-)
Even though I feel tired I feel fabulous. Im really looking forward to the change in me and cant wait to have my first weigh on Thursday. I will post 1 week result.
Have a great day all.

Hi Shazza222

Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. With a great group of friends that support you you willike definitely be able to still do those things, it's definitely an adjustment but give it time. I have only just started having a few social drinks 7 months out, and friend are quite happy to share a little food to save paying for a meal you can't eat.

It's definitely a massive change but once you start feeling good and that self confidence starts kicking in you will not regret it.
Welcome to the beginning of the rest of your healthy life 😊.

Hi, well I am really nervous. I get sleeved on Thursday 31st March, yes 2 days time. I cannot think of anything else but the op.
I weight 105kg and 175cm tall. I just want to get healthy and loose this weight that is tiring me out.
Biggest thing is I love to go out and socialise over dinner and drinks. Well I know that is all about to change big time and it is something I am willing to let go of. Im sure in the future I can go out without eating way too much and drinking way way too much. Enjoying looking around this site, it is so informative.
