Hi and welcome to this forum @my3sons!
This is a great forum, and you'll find it very supportive.

I was born in Wellington (Tawa) and brought up in Auckland.
I am also 50+ and was sleeved 2nd Feb this year after a lifetime of yo-yo dieting.
Been in Perth a long time, but moving back as soon as my house here, which is on the market, sells.
What part are you in?

You may also be interested also in bandingtogether.com  There is a section there for sleevers, also for New Zealanders.

Woo-hoo!  Not much longer now until your surgery!  I had been told that lapbanding and gastric by-passing were more common in NZ than gastric sleeving.  I would love my super-morbidly obese nephew to have it done.
Also, when I move back, it would be good to have some health professionals over there as back-up experienced in gastric sleeves.

Keep us up-dated!
All the best,
:)

Hi from NZ
I have just joined the November page.
I am 50+, married with a grownup family. I work full time as a Manager.
My surgery is November 2nd.
I am a classic dieter and rebounder with each kg lost in the past returning and bringing a mate!
My BMI is currently 35 so my goal is 30 kgs gone forever.

Glad I found this site as the info is great!
Looking forward to reading everyones journeys.
