My name on the interwebs is Sutika, I am 36 years old, and I am about to have two surgeries with Dr Mosse here in the ACT. I am around 155cm short and weigh around 118 kilos. I've struggled with my weight for the past 15 years. Before that I just thought I was fat, I was actually just fine. Bloody hindsight!
Because I have gallstones I am having my gallbladder removed on Monday prior to gastric sleeve surgery probably six weeks after that, all going well.
I am very fortunate to have private health insurance to help meet the costs of my surgeries and have them fairly quickly now that I have made the decision to do so.
I am nervous but after being diagnosed in April with Type 2 diabetes I simply have to take my health in my hands and sort it out! I am finally able to see that there are more important things than jam doughnuts and possible loose skin!!
I look forward to learning from the experiences of others and sharing my progress.
