Hi Lonie62.... My ward is colorectal and Upper GI surgery so I'm used to aromas and sleeves!! I though the noises would be when I'm getting full but they start as soon as I start to eat! If they're all I have to put up with to be slimmer... I'll cope! 😋

Hi sleevenurse

Welcome to the sleeved side.

Not so much belly noise here but I have never burped so much in all my life.  My daughter heard me the other day and said she won't go out with me or my mum who has a stoma because of all the noises we make.....nice!

Take it easy.

Hi Kell01...... It's been a learning curve that's for sure! Patients usually go home on day 2 so unless they've got complications we don't see them after that! So I wasn't sure what to expect. The noises are common apparently I guess we'll have to get used to different messages from our 'sleeves'!! X

Hi sleevenurse 1,
Omg yes my stomach is soooo noisey ideas somewhere that it's quite normal and may have something to do with the acids. U would probably have a better idea of this than me though. Won't it b nice to move on to some almost 'real' food!!

I'm trying to have other fluids too, soups and shakes are the flavor of the week! My stomach is so noisy, are you having that trouble too? Looking forward to the next few weeks! Craving mash & gravy!! 😜

Hi sleevenurse 1 and welcome,
I was sleeved on Monday so we r pretty much at the same stage of recovery :-). Yes, who would have thought it would b so hard to get 3 protein shakes down in a day. I don't know I about u but to me it's almost a full time job lol. Other than that I'm so happy I finally made the decision to start my new life. I hope ur recovery is going well and congratulations on finally taking the plunge!!

At the moment.... Sore! I am really looking forward to a new future and a healthy relationship with quality food! For too long I've made unhealthy choices and eaten in such large quantities it's become normal! Got my mind set, just got to wait for my new stomach to catch up!! I Am sick of thin fluids already.... Role on 2 weeks!! My surgeon is also a colleague who has performed this many times over a number of years in USA, UK and Oz.... I feel I am in great hands to guide me along the weight loss path 😊
