Welcome Leonie! Friday the 13th? AWESOME!! Personally, I reckon it's a very lucky day and you should be excited :D I'm 4 weeks post-op and I've lost 10kgs already, it's fast and scary at the same time.

My advice:
-Be kind to yourself, it's major surgery and it will take time to heal
-You will feel crap, you might even feel deflated but that is okay, we all went through it :-D
-Pick a day to weigh yourself or you will go mad (I did, I now only weigh on Sundays)
-The people on this forum are very supportive and a fountain of knowledge :-)

Best of luck, can't wait to hear more about your journey :D

Lonie,

My Mum always used to say,

"Friday the 13th? Lucky for some"

I reckon it will be the beginning of your new life, and how exciting.
I just had my 6 month sleeversary and I have absolutely no regrets.
I know I say this often, but it is so true, I cant believe how much my life has changed.
At the start I was so impatient to lose my weight, but now when I think about it, we didn't put our weight on overnight, so it wont come off overnight, but 35kg in 6 months, just blows me away, and Dayle has lost even more... each week the weight just comes off,

Life is great!

Hi my name is Leonie and i am a newbie to this site.  My surgery is scheduled for 13 March...yes that's right Friday the 13th. Confused
Bit nervous but also excited as I am a Diet Failure Tragic hence the somewhat radical move to having this surgery. Any advice would be greatly accepted and appreciated, thank you.
