Hi Rocklobster, I am booked for 8 October.. I am getting excited about knowing I will start to lose weight soon but I am a little scared as I have never been under anaesthetic before... Good luck with everything!

Welcome to the forum. The sleeve is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Absolutely no regrets.
Hope your journey is a smooth one and you get everything you need out of it.

I am new to the forum, but have been reading it a bit. My husband (Fergy16) had the gastric sleeve in July, and it's my turn on 8th October.
I'm on the Optifast at the moment and struggling with it. Things have been hectic at work and I've slipped up a bit. I'm realising how amazing my husband was to stick to it so well before his surgery! But I am determined to be perfect for the remaining 2 weeks.
I've watched Fergy16 go through everything, so I think I have an idea of what I'm in for, but of course the way I react to it all will be different to how he reacted, so I'm still pretty nervous.
I've been shopping with Fergy and he's bought some smaller clothes, which is great, but it's not sinking in that I could do the same soon. Still trying to get my head around it all!
