Welcome Awesome....I agree with the others that having the sleeve is a positive experience. There are times when it can be hard, but the overall benefits far far far outweigh the hard times!

Some of the things I am talking about you will discover once you spend some time looking around here are reading peoples diaries.

An example of something that may be hard for you is not being able to lift your youngest for several weeks after the surgery while you are recovering. That will only be for a short time,  but being able to run around and kick a ball or chase them in a park a year later will more than outweigh the not being able to pick them up for a few weeks.

So yes there are some hard days, but all in all this is an awesome positive ride we are on!

Hiya Awesome!

For me, this whole experience has been nothing but positive for myself and my family. We've always been a bunch of talkers, so if there ever have been any concerns, we are certainly not shy about bringing them up for discussion!

 Hello

Hi,

I have just made up my mind to get sleeve done after life long battle with weight loss. I am a full time mum of three beautiful kids. Eldest will be 6 and the youngest 1yr and 4mths by the time I have my surgery. As much as I am excited to welcome my new lifestyle and changes, I am also concern if it's gonna affect my family life in any negative way.

Please share your tips and tricks with me as I am looking forwardto chatting and sharing ideas in this  forum.

Thanks,
Awesome
