Hello all you lovely people. Just wanted to tell you that my friends were over the moon with the clothes I got for them at the swap. Very few were unsuitable and those have gone to the op shop.

Think I'm going to have to pay the op shop a visit this week as I need some pants to tide me over as all mine are too tight.

Hey gals. I have a plate that is missing it's owner. A white plate with flowers on it that sported some cake.

If you need it back in a hurry let me know and we can arrange something. If not I am happy to bring it along to the next meet.

Hey, thanks for opening up your home to us all Janey. Was a great day and so nice to see everyone.

I think I need to go clothing shopping with Jan, I love her sense of style and wouldn't mind pinching her hairstyle either. I can't wait to start shopping for size 16's soon, i'm nearly there. yippee!!

No whoever made that cherry choc slice it was utterly divine and I would love the recipe...or perhaps I should not have it....lol. Was tempted to swipe a slice on my way out the door, but resisted.

btw everyone, he was online again last night, which actually surprised me, thought I wouldn't hear from him again cause he didn't get what he wanted. he just wants to put this behind us and move forward, basically a small cliche/test in our relationship (our first fight I guess) and suggested maybe I come to him when I can (not asking me for $) instead of the other way around. Anyway, am more cautious than ever, but have a small glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe he is who he says. But will see what happens over the next few months. Thanks again everyone for listening

thanks Janey for a great afternoon, think we all did really well and it cheered me up no end, so thanks again. I managed to score about half dozen tops and a couple of skirts, all fit except one of the skirts (which will once I loose a bit more). so a good day all rounds.

Luv you all heaps, and thanks for listening to my saga and cheering me up.

Most definitely easy to organise.. everyone pitched in and sorted out the sizes of clothes... we had heaps and heaps! Quite a few bags went to good sammies/salvos but in all was very good.....
we had sizes ranging from small to 26....... absolutely fabulous!

Thanks so much Janey, we had fun. I think Steve enjoyed being in the minority with all the ladies around.

I did really well, 2 dresses, 6 tops and some bathers that all fit. I'm much happier now that I have some clothes for my holiday.

Big hugs all round.

Marion

Had a great day today. Boy did we have some clothes to swap. It was
like the January sales.....mayhem. Clothes and bags everywhere...but a
lot of fun. There are still 2 bags in the junk room that we completely
overlooked. Oh well the Sammies are going to do well this Xmas. I have
no idea who got what so don't bother asking me...I was too busy
replenishing coffees. I stood back with Steve and Bruce and had a
giggle at the women. Unusual for me as I'm usually in the thick of
things at a sale but it was a scream to observe for a change.

I have uploaded the photos to the gallery so go have a sticky.

I'm more than happy to open my home anytime to such a wonderful bunch of people. The door is always open.

Thanks to Jilly's marvellous washing up skills and her inability to do nothing there wasn't much to do to clean up anyway Maria so don't sweat it for a second.

Hugs,

Of course you can Kylie. There's no need to bring clothes to be welcome. Donna has arranged a lingerie hostess too and having a look at the catalogue...there's some really nice things in all sizes. No pressure to buy at all so just come along for the laughs and the drinkies and maybe you may be able to snatch something for yourself from the pile to see you through the Summer.

Can I come just for the social aspect. Dont have any clothes too big to swap as I havent started shrinking yet. But actually I do know where there are a bunch of clothes up for swaps for more mature larger ladies, I could bring some of those. I promise to leave the boob scarf at home.

I'm sure no-one would mind Marion as long as somebody gets good use out of them. I know I have heaps of clothes to take and knowing somebody will have use for them, whether a sleever or not, is a great feeling and its better if you know they are going to somebody in need.
hugs

I'm sure quite a bit will go Janey, if my friend can't come on Sunday I'll take stuff for her, she's banded but looking at going on to the sleeve. Also I have a friend who is wheelchair bound and on a pension, I was wondering if anyone would mind me taking a few things for her? She's a big lady and doesn't have many nice things to wear.

Marion

Great news Jen.

I hope you're all coming with empty boots as the piles of clothes are multiplying daily.

Thanks for the address details Janey. I shall be there with bells on. As I live so far out (near Colleen) it's hard for me to get to many of the get togethers but i'm really looking forward to this one as it's been a while since my last one.

I have reached a milestone guys, 85.8kg...i'm nearly half way throught the 80's...holy crap!!, I desperately want the 70's for xmas, so i've been working my tail off at the gym (i've even started getting some muscles...teehee). So many changes are taking place, I can buy clothing in "normal" shops and theres a gateway at school that has a welded bar in the middle of it and I always had to turn sideways to get through, now I just walk through it straight. I have a lap...the cat still won't sit on it but I have one. I can fit a drink between my thighs when driving the car (couldn't do it before...lol) and I have discovered that in my hubbies ute I can pull up my knees and rest my feet on the dash (i'm soooo classy).

I'm happy with what I have achieved so far, but I want to get the finish line....now not later!!! darn it. My next appt is with my surgeon in 6 months, I really hope I can have this journey finished by then.

Jen

Not a problem at all Marion...Bruce will be there and I'm sure he will be grateful for a little male support.

All are totally welcome whether male or female.

That reminds me, Steve has quite a few clothes that are too big for him now that I will bring along, they might suit someone's hubby. They are mainly shirts sizes around 44-46, polo tops/t-shirts size XL-XXL and office type work pants 107-112. I may even bring him along if he's allowed.

I would love to come to the Clothes Swop next week.
Unfortunately there are a couple of good reasons why I won't be going.

1 / Transportation, as there are no trains near by it would be difficult for me to attend with out some one offering to pick me up and drop me off after. Road Rage

2 / I don't think any one would have the colours or style of DRESSES that would suite me, with me being a man. Nuts

OH YER, men don't were dresses in our society, well most men don’t.

If I don’t see you at Mandurah tomorrow I hope you have a good time next week and remember, if it’s a little too small for you now, it might just look great on you when you loose some more weight.
