I too am hoping to join the Melbourne meet up group in the near future, I am due to be sleeved 22nd July (so only 7 days away although I am to be admitted to hospital beforehand, on Sat 18th and I will need to stay in for at least a week post op).
I am so excited it is finally to happen although I am extremely nervous at the same time.
Sending a big hug your way and wishing you the best of luck with your band removal on the 22nd issi, thinking of you will give me something else to focus on S day LOL.

Daisy and I are meeting up at Healesville on Wednesday 24th June.
We'll be at the Beechworth Bakery, which Daisy assures me is very easy to find - just fllow the Maroondah Hwy through Healsville and the Beechworth Bakery is on the right. Huge big sign, shouldn't be able to miss it.
So if anyone else wants to join us, you'll be very welcome.
The reason we're doing it so far out is that it's half way between our homes.
If anyone else wants to meet at another time, in another place, that's good too - just let us know.

We 've found out that we dont have swine flu just regular flu so thats good I suppose. I am getting it too so I think its making the fibro flare up alot more. Hopefully we will meet up soon, I am not that far away from you...

Sorry to hear that your kids are sick, and hope it doesn't knock them around too much.
I have fibro too, so I know what you mean about the pain. Hopefully the lupus test will be negative - fingers crossed.

I would normally be there with bells on but I have 2 kids with possible piggy flu at the moment so we arent really leaving the house and I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia and possibly lupus and am in agony all the time especially with this cold damp weather. So maybe next time and hopefully by then I will be sleeved!

Well, we've finally moved into our new house, and it's in Burwood East. I have no idea where the suburbs you mentioned are, but there's a tram close by, and that goes into the city, so that works for me. But I'm happy to drive to any other location too - does anyone more familiar with these places have a suggestion?

Ok, I'm interested, but I live in the south of the city (Frankston, actually), but until recently, when I was forced into retirement early, due to ill health, I travelled to the city every day. So, after all that, I am happy to meet up in or near the city.

I would be interested too, I am in Northern Suburbs where are you moving to? There are a few Melbourne sleevers around ,not many but numbers are increasing slowly, so if we can figure out where everyone comes from maybe a central location can be picked for everyone to meet up at....
