Hi Cinni... It all went so well .. I didnt feel like I had anything done at all.. I see the surgeon this thursday so will have more info then.. He told me my stomach got stuck and took alot longer to get out.. But Im feeling great 4 weeks out...

That would be wonderful, we have changed the venue to Ex-tensions on the beach, they do have soups and salads or you can just join us for a diet drink, look forward to seeing you there. I know a couple are going to be there at 11.30 to have a drink first, so we can wait to eat. So from any time 11.30 onwards will be great.

Hi Girls,

How is everyone? Today I am list making before we fly to Bali on Wednesday. Lists left for our daughters, (ie remember to feed the dog!), a list for our youngest daughter who flies to Sydney and Canberra for a history camp (ie what to pack....and NO you don't need every item from your wardrobe!), a hospital list - as I need to have my bag packed ready, my sleeve surgery is two days after we get back and we will be in Perth and a Xmas card list (very sad, but I am taking my Xmas cards to Bali to write while lazing by the pool...!)

17 sleeps until my surgery....and today like so many, I am reading through this website and getting so much information. I love the honesty of everyone sharing their experiences, doubts and highlights.

My surgeon has said there is no need for me to do Optifast (imagine taking THAT to Bali!), so I'm trying not to have a 'food funeral' and eat everything in sight.

Jodie, sorry to hear your Dad is still not doing well. At least being back in hospital means he is under their care and scrutiny. Hope he is on the mend really soon. I understand your weariness....I am back to having 'nanna naps' in the afternoons on my days off. My diabetes is through the roof and causing me to sleep through the day and pace the halls at night! Just think, this time next year you and I will be fighting fit and back on top of the world....go girlfriend.

Nicole, congrats on the Relay for Life, it is a fantastic weekend for a worthwhile cause. We had a Cowtown team three years ago and had so much fun, even when we were all tired, sore and cranky....best bonding weekend ever. Are you counting the sleeps until school holidays? Busy time at the end of the year for the teachers, I bet? I have been looking at your gallery photos, your weightloss has been sensational! Such an inspiration.

Cinni and Denise, I hope to catch up with you before Xmas, once the holiday and op are over, I will be out in the world more.

Nic, I wont be able to come on sunday .. My dad went back into hospital ( here in bunbury thankgod) today. And we also have 60 square mtrs of paving to pull up on the weekend so think Im going to be a bit worn out... Im still not 100% myself and with all the running around for dad its starting to wear me down... Im having huge sleeps during the day and feel horrible if I miss it..

Yesterday I bumped into a 'friend' who hadn't seen me for a year. She new I'd had the band done last year...without blinking she said, "Hi, you're looking really well, but that stomach band thing was a waste of time for you hey?" If only she knew about the year I have had, maybe she would have had more compassion. I didn't bother explaining it, just said "Yeah, oh well, better luck next time...." Who needs negative people like that in your life - not this soldier! I have decided to steer clear of her after my surgery.

So excited!!!!! I saw Prof Hamdorf again yesterday and it is all systems go.

My op is booked for 8am Tuesday December 1st at Hollywood Private.....4 weeks from today!
