i am with MBF and i had to fullfill the 12 month waiting period before i could use mine to have my sleeve done, lucky i have been with them for yrs so it didnt make a difference to me. they do not allow it earlier as the previous ppl have said it is an already existing illness. the only way u can get around it is if u develop a serve illness etc the requires a sleeve to be done, this is then not classed as pre existing. hope it helps
