This is different that the one I thought you were talking about- the gastric balloon. So many new procedures coming out are really going to make it harder and harder to do research and decide. Still, if the sleeve stretches, maybe one of these non surgical procedures would be able to make a surgical revision unnecessary. Modern medicine moves on.

(An aside) Today, a very young resident at the hospital asked me why did you wait so long to get the procedure- I bit my tongue and forbore to tell this 24 year old that the bloody procedure was virtually unheard of in the US 3 years ago. Oh well Old Fart, my Methusaleh bones are aching again.

Off to take my Geritol and rub castor oil on my chest.

Hi All,
I thought this might be of interest to some of us sleevers eh! but this is an experimental procedure to limit ones intake of food without having to make incisions through the abdomen.

TOGA: Experimental
The TOGA procedure is an incision-free treatment using a set of flexible staplers introduced into the mouth and esophagus to create a sleeve in the stomach (transoral formation of a gastric sleeve). The TOGA sleeve limits the amount of food that can be eaten and gives the patient a feeling of fullness after a small meal.
