Hi Dark,

I should mention that Dr Russell had never seen anything like my little twist so what happened to me is not usual.

Also, a problem is only a problem until it is fixed. The memory of those first 2 days really is fading fast as my healing is going so well. The smallest of prices to pay for an exciting future.

Hi Trina,

Also sorry you've had a rough trot. It's valuable for me to hear about the story, though. I'm going to have my sleeve op on 23 March, and it's good to know about all the possibilities (not just the great ones).

Best,

Dark

Hi,
Welcome aboard and sorry that you had a rough start, you sound pretty positive though so that is a great thing.
When you are ready to start on Mushies have a look around the site there are loads of suggestions and recipies if you get stuck.

Cheers Gail

PostSubject: Hi to all   09/03/10, 08:41 am

Finally getting around to saying hi.

I had my surgery on Wed 24 Feb then went back into surgery on Friday 26 Feb because the swallow test showed that nothing was going past my Oesophagus. I knew there was a problem because I struggled with vomiting and feeling really ill. I came out of the 2nd surgery with a Nasogastric tube. Definately not fun but I was so grateful for it because the illness/vomiting was gone and I could keep fluids down. Dr Russell was great :)

Almost 2 weeks later I am feeling great. I am still on fluids but will go to pureed food in about 4 days.

I love this support site - it is wonderful to read others experiences and advice.
