Great stuff!!! Not long till you know when your surgery will be then :) You must be so proud of yourself thus far and know that the pre-op diet will be a non-event since you've been going great guns on it already!

I agree with the advice below regarding the exercise. Something that is a fun activity is how I look at exercise. Then you WANT to do and don't feel pressured to 'have' to exercise! But running round with a kiddie is definitely incidental exercise just like housework. One step at a time, you'll be right. Be sure to let us know when your date is set!

Congrats on meeting your goal weight! Looks like they're making you jump through some hoops pre-op to test your resolve...good on you for making it!
Try not to beat yourself up about the exercise thing...once you start feeling better about yourself you'll be more motivated...I think the key is to find something active that is actually fun, be it walking or belly-dancing or 10 pin bowling! My exercise bike is very good for drying towels....

Best of luck with the upcoming surgery, and a big pat on the back for getting yourself sorted and taking such a positive step toward a healthier and happier life!

There is a section specifically down the bottom of the homepage, if you feel you need to catch up with American sleevers.

Well I just made my goal weight given to me by my surgeon on Feb 16, 2010. I am on the waiting list and I am now just waiting to be scheduled for my surgery! :) I have been apart of the Bariatric Program through Kaiser Permanente since June 2009. I have to now continue to maintain my goal weight or lose more. I am trying to lose more. I am following the Pre-Op meal plan and I am losing about a 1/2 a pound a week. I am not exercising.. I know I need to, but I have a 1 year old that I have to chase around and entertain after work!! and that is exercise in it self right??? lol I know I need to exercise, but I have not been motivated at all. How is everyone else out there doing??? :)
