| Hi Ange,
I too am a newbie here and I was so excited to read your post. I have made the deicision to get sleeved at the end of April, and pregnancy is the first on my list of "things to do" when I lose the extra weight. I was 123kg when I fell pregnant with my baby girl (she is 14 months old now) and I have put on just over 20kg in the space of a year. Woah!!! So I'm hoping to get down to 100kg before falling pregnant again, but I will admit the one thing that has been my major concern with the sleeve surgery is the effect on pregnancy afterwards. So it is a big relief to hear that you are pregnant and perfectly healthy so soon after the surgery. I hope everyting is going well for you. And thanks for sharing your story! |

| Hi Ange,
Congratulations on both your weight loss and your pregnancy!!!!
Your post stuck out at me as one of my big concerns about being sleeved is when I can safely fall pregnant. I have a 16 month old daughter and look forward to having another bub, but really need to lose weight first. I have my initial consult this coming Thursday *gulp*. I was kinda hoping that falling pregnant at the end of the year may be a possibility. So I'd love to hear your story and how you are finding being pregnant with the sleeve!
How much weight have you lost now? |

| How wonderful Ange - and how good that the downward journey is continuing while the bub is growing well.

| Hi Ange and welcome Wow, that was a quick pregnancy after the sleeve. Apart from the few minor problems, though, it seems as though it's going well for you, so that's great. Congrats on the weight lost so far - must be weird to be losing weight while you're pregnant, though! _________________ Sleeved 23/6/08 by Dr Michael Talbot in Sydney Heaviest weight 150.5kg Height 160cm (5'2") Current weight 75.3kg Bust From 148cm down to 101cm now - a total loss of 47cm Waist 144cm down to 100cm - total loss of 44cm Hips 150cm down to 104cm - total loss of 46cm Arms 47 cm down to 31cm - total loss of 16cm Legs 81 cm down to 52.5cm - total loss of 28.5cm

| Hi everyone... My name is Ange!!
I was sleeved in Brisbane on 10th of August and found out shortly after that i had fallen pregnant!!! SUPRISE!!! lol my 1 year old is going to be a big sister!
It seems that the weight loss, change of lifestyle and eating habbits have made for perfect fertility conditions!!!
I was just getting use to the idea of getting weight off and now have to start re adjusting to the concept of gaining a bit.... although i am actually down about 9 kg in the 4.5 mts!!! yippy!! the baby is growing beautifully and has caused me a little more greif than my first pregnancy. I ended up in hospital for a day with dehydration issues.... but morning sickness and not being able to keep anything down 'because' of morning sickness will have that effect i guess!!!!
I found my stomach was a little more sensitive than the first pregnancy!! 1 mouth full of some foods was all it would take to feel **unwell** and also (apparently) i was overeating which didnt help!
I have had a pretty good run with my sleeve...all up im down 48kg to date... I lost 20 by myself and 28 with sleeve over this 6 months. I feel totally happy with my choice and would do it again in a heartbeat. i can only hope that the joy continues as my pregnancy continues, and beond as i still have a longgggg way to go!! I was really glad for the reasurance from a fellow sleever that weight does keep comming off. that was a big sigh of releif.
This is my first post to this site sooooo hi everyone. thanks for having a look at **my short story**
Till soon Ange |
