That is definitely a question for your GP and surgeon.

I know that the liver is affected when you have glandular fever - I remember talking to my doctor about abnormal liver function tests. Also the point of the pre-surgery optifast diet is to shrink the size of the liver so it can be pushed over and out of the way of the surgeons when they are sleeving you.

Hopefully this won't push your date back - I know how frustrating it can be just waiting. I will cross my fingers for you.

I do hope you don't have Glandular Fever as it does knock you round a bit.

I'm about to leave for the Dr's as I haven't been well for a few weeks now. I'm being checked for Glandular fever, I had it a few times when I was younger. It just popped into my head that "Will Dr's hold off on WLS if you have had Glandular fever or something like it within 6 months of your op?". My liver & spleen is very very tender to touch and being near my tummy it was just a thought.
